Our client is a leading European bank who would like to develop Asia business. The role itself will lead and develop the Structured Trade & Supply Chain Finance business for Global Transaction Banking in Asia, he or she will have the key responsibilities in formulating product strategies and commercialisation of the products to meet profitability targets.

Job responsibilities:

  • Define a vision and formulate business strategies for the Structured Trade & Supply Chain (incl. both Payable and Receivables solutions) finance business; Present and obtain endorsement from senior management on the overall business plan
  • Lead and manage a team including 2 senior product specialists (payable and receivables) to drive the commercialisation of the products under his / her management with profitability targets, while being able to independently execute structured trade solutions from end to end
  • Sound understanding of client's requirements for structured trade & supply chain products as well as market intelligence on peer competitors in terms of product capabilities and positioning, in order to formulate a tactical strategic plan for the business
  • Successful commercialisation of structured trade and supply chain products to support the growth of GTB business and client's needs in the region
  • Establish a robust communication channel and maintain close relationship with Global Product Teams and core markets to develop plans in identifying collaboration opportunities, leveraging the product capabilities and the extensive client network in core markets
  • Replicate roll-out of new product capabilities with proper clearance with external/internal stakeholders, develop investment plans, and oversee the entire roll-out progress under costs and time budget
  • Align our needs with relevant Group Product teams, Group IT or other internal stakeholders to obtain ample support & funding for new developments in each budget year
  • Develop the commercialisation plan for new products with profitability targets
  • Provide a comprehensive training plan for front-line Sales, ensure sales materials are professionally prepared, and support Sales in marketing products to clients in Asia


Job requirements:

  • Solid knowledge with 15+ years of experience in managing structured trade & supply chain finance products
  • Sound market knowledge of client's requirements, product capabilities and market positioning of peer competitors
  • Experience in rolling out and commercialising structured trade & supply chain products
  • Prior experience as front-line sales with deep understanding of client's requirements is preferred
  • Independent, collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset with strong team spirits.
  • Being able to think strategically and formulate plans on where and who to target; and able to execute the plans and know how to execute well and in phases
