Your job
ECT Clients (Energy, Commodities & Transportation) operates internationally across three time zones and offers its clients products and services that match their needs. People active in this business need to be constantly aware of what is going on and keep up with the client in the ever changing demand for financial products and services. IT systems and processes are an essential part of the operating model of ECT to support this level of services to the clients.

The departments which have the possibility of the internship are the ECT Clients Business Solutions Department and the Commodities Clients Credit and Collateral Management department. ECT Clients Business Solutions has the worldwide business responsibility for the full IT application landscape and related processes in use by ECT Clients and provides for the ECT Clients Business the IT requirements. They are the linking pin between ECT Clients and various parts of the bank and analyse and advise from an organization, process, system and business case point of view. Commodities Clients Credit and Collateral Management handles the day to day transactions with clients and have the operational power to accept new deals within the approved facilities and gives the go-ahead for all new exposure. They decide if new exposure fits qualitatively and quantitatively within the approved framework facility.

You will assist them in the day-to-day activities amongst others work on projects and (IT) solutions for Credit and Collateral Management, analyse and compile management information regarding collateral, checks and other items and make presentations for the Management of Credit and Collateral Management and MT Commodities under the supervision of one of the Business Solutions Managers and Competence Commodities Clients Credit and Collateral Management.

Your profile
You are an enthusiastic and flexible person with a pro-active working attitude. Having analytical skills combined with an eye for detail and the ability to quickly understand complex matters.

Preferably available for at least 3- 6 months in a row/ 40 hours a week, starting as soon as possible.
  • University or HBO education;
  • (Proven) affinity with finance and banking;
  • Strong communication skills in English (both writing and in speech);
  • Enhanced IT-skills: advancend excel (vba), acces, power point.
  • You should be able to work in the Netherlands without a work permit, so you have to be either a student at a Dutch University or an EU citizen. ABN AMRO will not arrange a work permit for you'
