API Manager - Business Transformation, Global Consumer Financial Services

We're looking for an API Manager that has the capability to understand how companies deliver value through new distribution models, empathize with customers, and build a roadmap to solve those needs.

In your role, you will work in concert with colleagues representing products, data analytics, operations, technology, and other partners across the Group Consumer Financial Services (GCFS) eco-system, to bring your product to market. Your job will span across business strategy, technology, architecture, experience design, and product management.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key contributor in the development of future products and services across the OCBC group. Working closely with cross lines of business to understand our customer and partner needs, and changes in the local, regional and global industry landscape - and leverage these to drive solutions that are meaningful to GCFS
  • Execute an API strategy that delivers innovative banking services and solutions to millions of retail banking clients initiating billions of transactions per year
  • Develop business cases to make these APIs real, and drive their usage across products, processes and technology
  • Contribute to the financial success of product outcome, involved in pricing strategy for product/services
  • Manage competing demands from business units and technology partners and navigate an ever-changing business environment
  • Support multiple internal business groups and articulate how multiple business platforms and application stacks should evolve so that we continue to delight our customers with superior user experience, while opening up innovative business opportunities
  • Assist technical project managers in delivering product initiatives. From initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
  • Assist in ensuring that projects are completed in accordance with all Risk and Compliance guidelines.
  • Coordinate resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across projects to ensure successful launch of project at completion.
  • Present to and influence senior leaders and key decision makers.


Qualifications
Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts
  • Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems
  • Technical aptitude and systems knowledge; deep knowledge of enterprise integration technologies
  • Proven technology management discipline (financials, resource planning, ops risk / security)
  • Deep experience with defining enterprise APIs and opening up access to these capabilities
  • A bias to action and a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products and business models to market at rapid speed
  • Creative, outside-the-box thinking and problem solving approach
  • Knowledge of emerging and leading technologies across disciplines and ability to empower developers and deliver great products
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and logic to make compelling business cases
