The Associate Director, Data Analytics will take responsibility for supporting the Transaction Banking business in terms of on-going changes and maintenance of the LCR based Excess model as well as balance sheet analytics around Capital and Liquidity.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SAS / R codes for the LCR based Excess Methodology
  • Optimize the codes for performance and improve analytics on data and results
  • Manage on-going changes required in the Excess Model based on Business requirements
  • Responsible for developing a check and balance on the SAS codes used and other measures to ensure accuracy in Excess Model results
  • Analyze data to make meaningful inferences to drive right business outcomes
  • Use SAS / R to automate current manual functions around OPAC / Excess / RWA
  • Manage stakeholders across technology and business functions to support the team's agenda in the OPAC / Excess / RWA space
  • Able to work well in a team and support the team business agenda with the use of SAS / R
  • Develop reports for TB data related analytics


Qualifications and Skills

  • Good university undergraduate or post graduate degree preferably in Financial Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of SAS and R and ability to work with large data sets
  • Highly analytical with good appreciation of Banks' products, systems and processes
  • Possess some understanding of regulatory requirements for Cash and Assets, e.g. Basel III
  • Delivery of high quality work, in a limited amount of time
  • High levels of drive and resilience
  • Ability to operate strategically whilst simultaneously working on the details
  • Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex an approach as needed
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
  • Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and long term)
  • Capacity to think creatively and laterally (outside the box); excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments
  • Enthusiasm, drive and ability to work in a very fast paced high performance team
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work with a range of people from diverse background and geographies
