Our client is a large regional bank with strong balance sheet and focus in Asia. As part of their growth plans, they are seeking to hire an experienced Relationship Manager to join their Commodity Finance coverage team in Singapore.

Based in Singapore, this is a relationship management position specialising in the commodities sector. As a member of the Commodity Finance team, you will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of commodities clients and contributing to revenue growth of the desk. The role primarily involves expanding the customer base through acquisition of new clients, structuring credit facilities in line with client needs, cross-selling the bank’s product range, and providing high quality service. In addition to deal origination, you will prepare detailed credit proposals – including financial analysis, due diligence and obtaining requisite approvals – and perform account monitoring and regular credit reviews to ensure high overall quality of the portfolio.

We are looking for candidates with 8 to 12 years of relationship management experience, specialising in commodities finance – a key requirement. You should have existing client relationships in the commodities sector, and a track record of delivering on client acquisition and revenue targets. You should also have strong knowledge in trade finance products and a good grasp of credit principles, policies and procedures.
