The Team

An award-winning fund, this business is rapidly gaining international acclaim.  This is a lively, ambitious team which is palpably buzzing with the momentum it has achieved, and is now looking to bring on board a new member at Analyst/Associate level.

The Role

Working as an Analyst/Associate within the team, the role will involve the following:

  • Day-to-day management of projects  and acting as the key point of contact for clients;
  • Structuring and arranging financing solutions, including negotiating with funders, vendors and buyers as required;
  • Overseeing complex financial modelling to support primary financings or secondary market engagements, M&A valuations as well as all relevant sensitivity analysis;
  • Supporting business development activities, including building client relationships, identifying opportunities and pitching for work
  • Developing and maintaining an external network to be used for both business development and execution of mandates; and
  • Identifying and developing new areas of business and services

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a Project Financier with a specific focus on Infrastructure or Renewables.  You will have strong training from a respectable and active lending platform, most likely a bank but potentially a debt fund.  Beyond that, you will possess the following attributes:

  • 2-4 years of career experience in total
  • Extensive experience within the energy sector in either project finance or M&A, combined with broader utility/infrastructure sector experience;
  • Experience of working with different client types including independent developers, financial investors, developers and utilities;
  • Transaction experience including equity acquisition and/or disposal and debt financing;
  • Strong financial modelling oversight capability;
  • Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to grasp and present complex commercial and financing issues effectively;
  • Strong attention to detail combined with ability to see the big picture;
  • High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed;
  • Ability to grasp complex commercial and financing issues quickly
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments
  • Ability to synthesise robust arguments and defend them in an articulate manner
  • Ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth; and
  • Excellent client facing skills and history or significant client exposure
