Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process annuity requests for Group Annuity contracts in accordance with contractual provisions.
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls from the customer service lines, responding to both institutional and individual client inquiries.
  • Communicate current information pertaining to pricing, interest calculations, account balances, audit inquiries and tax filings to institutional clients.
  • Establish and maintain high quality internal and external customer relationships - assess and respond to their requests effectively.
  • Develop an understanding of operational procedures as well as company, industry and regulatory policies and be able to communicate with clients regarding these matters.
  • Provide support to larger Institutional Annuities Operations teams.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
  • Customer Service experience
  • General knowledge of pension business a plus
  • Ability to follow established procedures and stay current with internal control procedures
  • Ability to work independently while remaining flexible to meet team goals
  • Accountable, ethical, skilled decision making ability
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to multitask to effectively manage a diverse work-load

This indicator is based on generally accepted accounting principles in the US (GAAP), with certain adjustments Company believes to be appropriate as a measurement approach (non GAAP), primarily the removal of gains or losses on investments and related adjustments.

Assets under management represent Consolidated Domestic and International insurance Company Statutory assets (cash and invested assets and separate account assets) and third party assets principally managed by New York Life Investment management Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.
