The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.

The Finance Americas COO department ensures that appropriate solutions are put in place for the Finance (accounting) and Tax organization to meet their business objectives.  The team acts as the bridge for the Finance and Tax organization to various departments within the BNP Paribas group, mainly the Business, PMO and Technology organizations in New York, New Jersey, California, Montreal, Mumbai, London and Paris. 

The team works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business and regulatory changes and strategic initiatives. The team is also responsible for the reengineering efforts of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency. The team also provides first line user support through training, research and responding to general queries.

Responsibilities:

The Head of the Hyperion Functional Team has broad based responsibility for the:

•Functional design, specifications and the deployment of the Hyperion applications at both a legal entity and IHC level.
•The Hyperion applications include Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a financial reporting and consolidation tool, Hyperion Planning a management reporting and budgeting tool, and Data Relationship Management (DRM) a master data management tool.
•Direct managerial responsibility for the Business Analyst/ Project Managers assigned to the Hyperion applications within the Finance COO team.
•This is currently seven full time employees
•Ensure that the Hyperion applications have a structured and secure change management process.
•Ensure that Hyperion applications are functionally supported in a production environment.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

•10+ years having worked within the Finance or IT function of a Financial Services company.
•Detailed understanding of Financial Reporting, Management Reporting and the broader needs of the Financial Planning and Analysis functions, including budgeting.
•Experience having worked in a Business Analyst/Project Manager function within a Financial Services company.
•Demonstratable experience in effective people and team management.
•Strong presentation skills and influencing skills.
•Detailed understanding of the functioning of the Hyperion Suite of applications or similar software applications.
•Good working knowledge of acounting USGAAP and IFRS.


Preferred Qualifications:

•Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
