Operating within a high-performing remediation and customer outcomes function, this team is responsible for identifying, assessing and remediating customer impacts in a fair, transparent, timely and compliant manner. The team plays a critical role in customer remediation programmes, regulatory responses, risk management initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the business.
Your new role
As a Data Analyst, you will support the delivery of large-scale customer remediation programmes by leveraging data analytics to identify impacted customer populations, investigate anomalies and develop remediation outcomes.Working with large and complex datasets, primarily using Teradata SQL, you will perform detailed data investigations, root-cause analysis and customer impact assessments. You will collaborate closely with business, risk, compliance and technology stakeholders to ensure remediation activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering end-to-end data analysis for customer remediation initiatives.
- Identifying and quantifying impacted customer populations through detailed data investigations.
- Conducting root-cause analysis on customer, product and system issues.
- Developing, testing and validating remediation methodologies and payment calculations.
- Analysing customer anomalies, exceptions and platform queries.
- Producing insights and reporting to support remediation decisions and governance requirements.
- Supporting risk, compliance and audit activities through robust data controls and validation processes.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across business, risk and technology teams.
- Presenting findings and recommendations using reporting and data visualisation tools.
- Experience working as a Data Analyst within banking, financial services, risk, compliance or remediation environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting customer remediation programmes, regulatory reviews, conducting risk investigations or customer outcome initiatives.
- Strong SQL skills, preferably within a Teradata environment.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and conducting detailed data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including root-cause analysis and impact assessments.
- Python experience for analysis, automation or data validation (desirable).
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Understanding of data governance, risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of retail banking products and customer remediation processes will be highly regarded.
