This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding the institution against money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crime risks while contributing to the enhancement of regulatory compliance processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess new legal and regulatory developments relating to AML, fraud prevention, sanctions, and financial crime.
- Support the development and enhancement of the institution-wide AML risk assessment framework in line with regulatory requirements.
- Review and optimize KYC, customer due diligence, and financial crime prevention processes.
- Conduct investigations into suspicious activity and prepare regulatory reports where required.
- Support the preparation of management and board-level documentation relating to financial crime matters.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on complex AML and fraud-related topics.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external authorities.
- Design and deliver AML and fraud awareness training across the business.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and digitization of compliance and financial crime processes.
Your Profile
- Degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent banking qualification.
- Several years of experience within Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), AML regulatory requirements, and BaFin expectations.
- Experience performing AML risk assessments and supporting financial crime control frameworks.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory topics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent German and professional English language skills.
