We are working with an award-nominated private placement agent and advisory firm. Founded in 2010, they have gone from strength to strength with a global operation that has raised over $28bn across over 45 primary fundraises, as well as advised on over $3.8bn of secondaries transactions. They are continuing their exciting growth plans by establishing a new office in Munich. They are looking to hire professionals from investment banking and lead advisory backgrounds to join their Munich office and support in the execution of fundraising mandates, whilst also helping build out the office and the team in the region.
Typically private fundraising includes four phases; the first is winning the mandate; the second is preparing the offering to go to market; thirdly, marketing the vehicle to the institutional investor community globally; and finally closing the vehicle. Analysts/Associates are involved in all of these aspects of fundraising, usually for multiple clients simultaneously, each of which is probably at a different phase of the fundraising process. Analysts & Associates have extensive contact with clients, both in the preparation of marketing materials and during the marketing of the fund. As such, prospective candidates will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This person will get the opportunity to work on a number of exciting mandates, and also enjoy the entrepreneurial nature of building out and establishing a new office, whilst having the comfort of sitting in a very established and highly regarded brand name in the market.
  • Preparing presentation materials and pitches for prospective clients
  • Meeting prospective clients with senior team members and analysing financial and qualitative information in order to assist in the group's due diligence investigations prior to signing up a new mandate
  • Assisting in the positioning of the client's investment strategy and the preparation of marketing materials, including private placement memoranda, investor presentations and due diligence materials
  • Designing and coordinating capital raising activities and international road shows
  • Communicating regularly with institutional investor coverage professionals
  • Assisting in preparing responses to investor due diligence requests
  • Maintaining a database of investor commentary, feedback and interest in a particular fund
  • 2-5 Years relevant experience in Investment Banking, Lead Advisory, Asset Management, Fundraising and Investor Relations or Law
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and relationship building skills with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good analytical skills
  • Fluent in German and English
