Product Owner / Business Analyst - Commercial Banking / 50k to 90k per month

I am currently helping our Client seeking a Project Manager/Business Analyst with Commercial Banking experience to join the team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering: Translate complex business needs into structured, actionable functional and non-functional specifications for technical teams.
• Process Optimization: Map out end-to-end commercial workflows, specifically the lending lifecycle (origination, underwriting, servicing) and trade finance, to identify operational bottlenecks.
• Data & Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, build financial models, and analyze customer financial statements to support credit applications and business profitability.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure solutions adhere to banking regulations, KYC/AML laws, and risk frameworks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the liaison connecting senior executives, relationship managers, IT developers, and QA testing teams.
• System Implementation: Assist in the testing, deployment, and adoption of banking systems (e.g., LoanIQ, CRM, ERP).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5+ years of business analysis experience within financial services, explicitly corporate or commercial banking.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial lending, supply chain finance, cash management, and trade and receivables.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel, and experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.
