Your team

IG operates across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, requiring robust regulatory compliance and risk management processes. The KYC (Know Your Customer) Client Onboarding team plays a critical role in ensuring that all client relationships are established in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.

Your role in the Team's Success

The purpose of this role is to manage KYC Operations in APAC region and Lead the KYC Teams in Bangalore. Additionally, the job holder will be expected to drive improvements in KYC onboarding process to support the company in achieving its strategic objectives. The jobholder will have experience of working within the financial regulatory landscape and will involve working alongside the Head of KYC and Client Onboarding Solution, the business lines and compliance in order to provide the best service to our clients.

What you'll do
  • - Develop and manage Teams responsible for accurate and timely delivery of KYC services
  • - Ensure KYC KPIs and SLAs are adhered to, including improving the time taken to respond to applicant submissions
  • - Working with business teams across APAC region to improve our application to account openining time and conversion rate
  • - Oversee KYC operations and ensure compliance with local requirements
  • - Build a strong commercially aware and customer centric culture within the team
  • - Run a team responsible for international account opening
  • - Work closely with our EMEA KYC Managers based respectively in Krakow to drive service excellence through operational efficiencies
  • - Drive strong collaboration across all KYC Teams globally and promote their cooperation
  • - Focus on excellent quality and maintain high standard of operational rigor
  • - Ensure the team have a flexible approach to workloads and requirements
  • - Keep the team motivated in a challenging environment and assist them in achieving greater efficiency in the KYC process
  • - Frequently interact with other departments such as Sales and Compliance and maintain excellent relationship with Stakeholders
  • - Resolve complex queries within tight time frames
  • - Lead the team, making sure that they remain engaged and measure their performance on an ongoing basis
  • - Recruit new employees when required
  • - Drive continuous improvement initiative across Bangalore team with cooperation with other stakeholders.

What you'll need for this role
  • - You will have experience in financial organisations and been involved in KYC and regulatory requirements relating to financial crime
  • - You will need strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • - You will have had experience of managing large teams and be able to demonstrate that you can grow and develop your team
  • - You will be able to deal with strategic challenges but still be able to deal with the time pressures of operational requirements and challenges
  • - Min. 5 years of experience in KYC Operations, including hands on clients reviews and managing KYC Teams
  • - A degree-level education
  • - Proven experience with process improvement and optimization
  • - Excellent understanding of KYC and the international financial regulatory environment
  • - Ability to interpret complex changes in regulatory guidelines and assess the impact to the business
  • - Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines to a high degree of accuracy
  • - Should be effective in leadership and stakeholder management
  • - Self-motivated with the ability to inspire others
  • - Ability to work with minimal supervision whilst maintaining a flexible approach to responsibilities
