Senior GL Accountant

About the Role:

As a CBRE Senior GL Accountant, you will be a part of the Dutch Controllership Team responsible for daily financial operations (P2P, C2C, GL, VAT, payroll, CIT, statutory financial statements). The role requires good analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of Peoplesoft would be an advantage.

This job is part of the Advisory - Controllership.

Role is temporary position for max. 12 months.

What You'll Do:

• Monthly review of P&L and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and review of GL journals
• Prepare and control balance sheet reconciliations
• Participate in month-end-close process and meetings
• Explain any variances between actuals and the forecast during the month-end close
• Attend staff meetings to discuss the forecast and actuals for several cost categories and check these cost categories
• Perform quarterly and monthly reporting
• VAT tax returns
• Recharges to other countries, control of reimbursable revenue and costs
• Financial year-end preparation in line with corporate and statutory reporting requirements
• Participation in corporate or local projects
• Participation in the statutory audit and in the process of financial statements' preparation
• Cooperation with local stakeholders regarding accounting matters
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, guidelines, and workflows

What You'll Need:

• At least 1-3 years' experience in Finance/Accounting (including GL)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Preferably experienced in PeopleSoft
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Very good MS Excel skills
• Hands-on, self-starter attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to see both the big picture and dive into the details
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders based in different countries
