Key responsibilities

• Engineer, operate and further develop our bare-metal server platforms (for example Cisco UCS-X or similar), including lifecycle management and capacity planning
• Design, implement and optimize enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, IBM or comparable) and backup environments (Commvault or similar) for high availability and performance
• Work closely with container, virtualization and application teams to integrate and configure infrastructure services for new and existing workloads
• Drive automation of infrastructure services using tools such as Ansible, Terraform or similar to increase reliability and reduce manual work
• Manage and continuously improve our data center landscape (monitoring, documentation, standards) with a strong focus on stability and security
• Plan, coordinate and deliver infrastructure projects in an agile setup, including stakeholder communication and reporting

The team

You'll join our Data Center & Infrastructure team in the IT organization and help shape the next generation of our on-premises and hybrid infrastructure.

Together with specialists for compute, storage, backup, networking and automation, you'll build and run a robust, scalable and secure foundation for our business applications and container platforms.

Your skills and experience

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable higher education (university or university of applied sciences), plus relevant further training in infrastructure or cloud technologies
• Three to five years of hands-on experience as an IT engineer in data center environments (compute, storage, backup, data center management) in a production setting
• Solid knowledge of bare-metal platforms (for example UCS-X or similar), enterprise storage (NetApp, IBM or other) and backup solutions (Commvault or comparable), plus a good understanding of virtualization and container platforms
• Practical experience with infrastructure automation (for example Ansible, Terraform or similar) and agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban or scaled agile frameworks)
• Very good communication skills, a strong sense of ownership and quality, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Fluency in German and a good command of English, both written and spoken
