My client, a leading investment management firm, are seeking an experience Business Analyst to support the implementation of an Oracle Cloud ERP solution. The global model has been designed & implemented at their HQ and is now being rolled out to all other countries. This role is to support the Record to Report (R2R) workstream covering financial control & reporting. This will be a hands on role reporting into the R2R Solution Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business analysis tasks throughout the project lifecycle to agreed timescales and budgets and within an Agile methodology and Product Model framework
- Capture, clarify and document business requirements using a range of analysis techniques and tools
- Assist with the facilitation of business & technology workshops for stakeholders of all levels and capture output
- Focus on working with the Finance Business Stakeholders to analyse the current process, create the new requirements and map out the solution(s) to meet the business requirements
- Work with the project team to model this transformation in Excel (using sample data) - both for creating Journals for financial reporting (ledger) and allocation of this revenue across management dimensions
- Identify data quality issues in source systems and propose potential resolution actions.
- Hand over the transformations required to the technical team and test the code once delivered
- Support Chart of Accounts values analysis and design
- Support business in building of Account hierarchies for local and regulatory reporting
- Support business in building SmartView Reports
- Support technical and a business queries during the testing phases
- Support Process and Operating procedure documentation
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A functional business analyst with extensive, demonstrable experience of working on multiple Oracle ERP implementations with particular focus on core financials, Oracle Cloud ERP is a preference (Oracle E-Business Suite will be considered)
- Good understanding on Record to Report processes and Oracle Cloud ERP GL and Essbase Cube
- Qualified accountant
- Experience of working within the financial services sector
- Self-motivated and responsive to a constantly changing environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time, and work to agreed project deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
- Team player with a collaborative attitude but must be a self-starter and able to work individually on detailed analysis as required
