Our Client, a leading venture capital firm is looking for an Assistant Fund Accountant to join in a newly created position as a result of continued growth. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of ten, reporting to the Fund Accountant
and working closely with the legal team covering a broad range of responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and ambitious individual who is looking for a varied role and increased responsibilities over time who has a keen interest in the technology sector.
Description - Fund Administration
- Daily cash reconciliations.
- Capital call reconciliations.
- Deal with ad hoc Administrator queries.
- Invoice payments.
- Support with the year-end audit.
- Bookkeeping.
- Support with project work.
- Legal Administration
- Fundraising KYC process.
- Follow up actions once an investment has closed.
- Portfolio management documents.
- Ad hoc assistance to the legal team.
Skills - Previous accounting experience essential.
- Strong academics and be looking to study for an accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organised, team player who is able to be flexible in their approach.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Would suit someone who is systematic and methodical in their approach as well as being able to multi-task.
- Strong excel skills.
