We are recruiting for an HR Operations and Immigration Specialist to work within the Europe HR team.  The successful candidate will be part of the Global HR Operations team and will be responsible for overseeing Europe and Asia Immigration matters, as well as providing Europe Onboarding support. The role will involve working closely with HR colleagues in Europe and Asia, foreign national employees, and new hires within Europe and Asia, as well as serving as the liaison with our Immigration external counsel. The candidate will be responsible for, among other things, the following areas:
 

  • Maintaining the local visa status for employees across Europe and Asia
  • Being the main point of contact and handling queries effectively for external immigration partners and internal stakeholders 
  • Defining and aligning immigration processes across Europe and Asia
  • Providing support on Europe onboarding, as well as ad hoc support on other initiatives managed by the team
  • Identifying and participating in projects that provide opportunities for streamlining and automation
  • Providing general guidance and support to employees, the business, and HR colleagues regarding immigration matters
  • Keeping up on immigration reforms and policies and communicating any updates to the HR team/business as needed
     

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience handling UK Immigration issues in a fast-paced work environment is essential
  • Experience having worked in an HR Operations environment is essential
  • Financial Services and/or Law Firm experience and working within a global organisation is preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Proactive, problem-solver, with a proven track record of taking ownership of initiatives and driving them forward
  • Ability to work independently with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) are a prerequisite 
  • Ability to deal constructively with immigration issues across various jurisdictions 
  • Comfortable juggling competing priorities and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and proactively contribute ideas, views and recommendations 
  • A professional and adaptable approach and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information using discretion
  • Ability to adapt quickly with changing conditions
