We're working with a global venture fund that has an excellent track record and is now looking for a Portfolio Associate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals currently working in a similar role within PE/VC and are now looking to take a step up in a hands-on position. The role will be 70% portfolio reporting and 30% fund reporting. This position offers a wide range of exposure to portfolio & investment valuations, IC packs, fundraising, fund forecasting models and senior stakeholder management.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Quarterly valuations for each investment
- Quarterly portfolio company reporting and the portfolio as a whole
- Data, system and process guardian to ensure golden source data quality, robust and insightful portfolio analysis and seamless dissemination to all stakeholders
- Liaising with portfolio company finance teams and deal executives on a monthly basis to collect monthly financial and KPI data
- Reviewing and analysing the content of investee companies' following-year budgets and any amendments to investment plans
- Preparation and maintenance of fund forecast models
- Reviewing and analysing the content of the quarterly portfolio reports of each investee company, prepared by the deal team
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis, future fundraising needs and regulatory reporting
- Working with the fund administrators to ensure the quarterly and annual fund accounts are produced accurately and in a timely manner,

- Maintaining the fund models, IRR and multiple calculations
YOUR PROFILE: - Professional financial qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent
- Previous experience in portfolio monitoring and management in Private Equity/Venture Capital Firms
- Fund accounting, including audit of Private Equity/Venture Capital Firms is a plus
- Excellent analytical and IT skills; high level of Excel proficiency. Power BI, iLEVEL desirable
- Analytical, commercial and creative mind, focus on high quality and attention to detail, proactive, ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work in a small team, self-motivator, independent working style
- Strong stakeholder management and inter-personal skills as they will interact with our investment team, portfolio company founders, fund administrators and investors
