Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a strong understanding of export control principles and company policy. In this role, you will apply your knowledge to support compliance activities, resolve a broad range of issues, and provide guidance within your area of expertise . Working as part of a closely connected team, you will contribute to shared objectives while managing your own responsibilities independently . You will engage with stakeholders across the business, support continuous improvement, and deliver solutions aligned to organisational priorities, leveraging your understanding of the business and its products.

Core duties:

• Support management of UK, US, and global export control compliance, including licensing activities, record-keeping, and compliance checks
• Maintain compliance registers and shared mailboxes, ensuring accurate records, timely follow-ups, and efficient administration
• Assist with licence applications, authorisations, and export control processes to support business operations
• Contribute to training, communications, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance standards across the business
• Provide flexible support across compliance and legal activities, including research, documentation, investigations, and process improvement projects

Essential Skills:

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining and managing compliance records
• Proven experience handling sensitive and confidential information, ensuring adherence to data protection and security requirements
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to use them efficiently in a professional environment

The Compliance Team:

As a Export Control Assistant you will work with numerous business functions to provide day-to-day guidance on compliance issues, with particular emphasis on meeting UK & US Export Control regulations and appropriate corporate/local policies. Within the Compliance Team you will collaborate to seek and introduce best practice and drive compliance related continuous improvement initiatives . You will apply your subject matter expertise in an area of Export Control , including application or development of policy and procedure, or resolution of problems and issues in complex , sensitive/difficult, high risk/impact situations.
