Senior Business Analyst

This leading Government Department is seeking to engage a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for delivering improvements and enhancements to student administration and wellbeing systems delivering a modern data integration platform for third party providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document the business requirements and trace the business requirements through to delivery
  • Identification of current and future state business and technical processes
  • Provide support and input into regular project audit activities
  • Contribute to user and system documentation where required
  • Contribute to training materials where required
  • Experience in finance, student management or student wellbeing projects is desirable
  • Support the testing team with defect triage as required
  • Second line support of schools and software vendors

About You

You will have very strong technical analysis skills, ideally with a background from software development, strong experience with application integration/ Business intelligence projects and demonstrated experience creating integration and API documentation.

Essential Requirements
  • Must have requirement management experience from requirement gathering to prioritisation to scoping
  • Strong stakeholder engagement / management skills
  • Strong experience dealing with Quality Assurance team and liaising between QA team and development team and / or vendor and assist in defect resolution process
  • Understanding of system integration patterns including: preferably RESTful web services interfaces, Middleware, messaging and integration platform as a service, large data stores
