1. Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for leading all aspects of the new core banking implementation programme. This includes delivering the programme within the agreed scope, timelines and budget.
The programme entails the global migration from the Bank’s legacy systems to the new core banking systems, which will be cloud-native universal banking system delivered as part of the SaaS offering. The programme will span all ABC geographies and covers Banks ABC’s Digital only Bank (ila), wholesale banking, universal banking and Islamic Banking.
2. Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:
- Lead execution of all aspects of the Core Banking replacement programme (e.g., Design, Configuration, Testing, Migration, Cutover, decommissioning of legacy applications) according to established targets and manage integration initiatives
- Overall ownership of the end-to-end plan and budget. Work closely with all relevant stakeholders (Business, Operations, Finance, HR, Cyber/Information Security etc.) to build and execute the implementation plans
- Provide leadership and programme management for the successful implementation, migration of the data held in the legacy applications, delivering on all objectives to achieve business results
- Serve as single point of contact and coordination to all internal and external stakeholders during the integration phases. Hold cross functional teams accountable for deliverables.
- Lead programme governance and reporting. Prepare and deliver presentations for various audiences including executives, team members and third parties
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to create a better, faster, and easier integration experience
- Ensure Regulatory approvals when applicable are obtained in a timely manner
- Oversight of all programme risks and issues. Ensure all risks are mitigated or risk accepted by appropriate owners
- Manage large team of Business Analysts/System Architects, PM’s, Testers, and Vendors resources
- Manage related third-party relationships
- Build the supporting framework required to deliver parallel streams of work.
