Test automation engineer (m/f/x) - IT Market Risk

DB Market Risk Technology platforms utilise large-scale distributed computing capability and Big Data technologies to process over 600 billion scenario points a day for Market & Credit Risk metrics with dynamic aggregation capability across the raw scenarios to generate metrics such as VAR, Expected Potential Exposure and Portfolio Stress Scenario Metrics. New innovations provide self-service analytics and dashboarding capability to our clients through the form of a Python toolkit servicing over 500 risk and analytics users across the Bank.

As a QA Automation engineer you will be responsible for all the testing activities in the Scrum team.

Your key responsibilities

• This role will involve organizing, executing testing for new features within Scrum team, test automation and collecting test artefacts and metrics.
• The person will drive the hands-on execution of the test strategy and plan, including the manual and automation test preparation, execution, and analysis and reporting activities.
• Collaboratively work with Dev/QA engineers within the Feature team (Scrum team), Product Owner and Scrum Master, architects and dev leads to ensure proper quality is achieved for new features and Definition of Done is met, and wider QA group to ensure for knowledge sharing and being align to agreed QA standards and approach.
• Contribute to test automation framework improvements, CI/CD and overall platform testability

Your skills and experiences

• Experience in QA and back-end testing ​
• Familiar with any Test Automation Frameworks: Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity
• Understanding of BDD and TDD approaches
• Core Java knowledge (classes and OOP model, data structures, file operations, work with XML, failures evaluation, basic architecture solutions)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Unix commands
• Experience in CI deployment and support
