The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team at Crédit Agricole CIB comprised of 79 professionals located worldwide who are focused on the origination and structuring of bond solutions for corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns, supra-nationals and agencies. The team has professionals located in select locations around the world, close to Crédit Agricole CIB customers. For the German DEBT CAPITAL Markets – ORIGINATION TEAM we are looking for an

(Associate) Director / Originator for Corporates Germany & Austria (f/m/d)

Your missions

The Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets team is responsible for the origination and execution arm of CA CIB’s European Bonds Investment Grade effort.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Senior Banker, Syndicate, Credit Research and Trading to identify, market to and obtain mandates from corporate clients in Germany and Austria
Originate and initiate all types of debt products across the capital structure, including senior unsecured, EMTNs, Schuldscheindarlehen and subordinated debt / capital
Become the Center of excellence for DCM product areas and pro-actively initiate discussion with relevant clients, take an active part in joint “pitching” with coverage bankers and other business lines
Intensive cooperation with GIB and CLF with regard to M&A projects and acquisition finance
Build excellence, in coordination with the heads of desks, in leading the execution process of bond transactions and competing for mandates. Execution includes activities connected with the due diligence and KYC / compliance efforts, client update calls, roadshows, book building and pricing
Promote CACIB’s general global bond capabilities to the market at large, e.g. through proactive marketing and publicity of conferences (Euromoney, IFR etc.) and build strong networks with key internal partners

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills, and a clear desire to work clients
Prior solid experience in origination 6-9 years’ and proven relationships skills
Appropriate academic background (BSc / MSc in Finance or similar)
Strong communication skills and ability to cooperate and work across all levels of an international organization
Ability to work under pressure on several transactions with different priorities and tight project deadlines
Excellent language skills in German and English; further languages would be a plus
Team orientation, strong attitude, motivation and continued eagerness to progress
