Introduction
Euclid Transactional specialises in the underwriting of warranty and indemnity, tax liability and contingent liability insurance policies, known as transactional insurance policies. The use of transactional insurance has grown rapidly in the last five years and insured deals now make up a significant majority of all M&A transactions.
Founded in New York in 2016 by a senior team of M&A lawyers and transactional insurance experts at AIG, Euclid Transactional quickly emerged as the leading provider of transactional insurance in the US. In 2018, Euclid Transactional opened its London office with the hire of three former lawyers and experienced transactional insurance underwriters from Liberty Mutual and AIG, with the goal of expanding its offering to clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In July 2020, Euclid expanded their EMEA offering to begin servicing clients in Germany and the wider DACH region with the opening of the Frankfurt office and the hire of Daniel Mösinger, increasing the size of the team in EMEA to 13 full-time staff and consolidating Euclid Transactional’s position as a leading provider of transactional insurance across EMEA.
