An excellent opportunity to join a market-leading Fixed Income house.

Purpose of Role

  • The primary responsibility will be to drive consultant intermediated business within Germany, with the following objectives:
    • Secure and maintain “Buy” ratings on agreed products from German investment consultant businesses.
    • Increasing new business in both advisory and fiduciary consultant channels in Germany
    • A secondary responsibility is to lead consultant relations in other European countries (scope to be finalised)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, and execute a strategy for the management of all consultant related activities in Germany, from proposition design, through to securing consultant endorsement and leading consultant sales campaigns
  • Manage all aspects of the businesses day to day interactions with consultants in Germany
  • Develop a partnership with the German Institutional Business team to achieve high levels of revenue inflows from targeted products in the Institutional marketplace.
  • Contribute to the overall global consultants’ sales plan


Knowledge, skills and experience required

Technical Skills/Specialist Knowledge

  • Extensive experience in the German Institutional market place
  • Detailed working knowledge of the German institutional marketplace (including consultants), this includes DB, DC an insurance sectors
  • Ability to develop and manage consultant relationships at all levels and responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of investment management theory and practice
  • Knowledge of and ability manage new business process, encompassing RFP oversight, pre-pitch work, pitch support and follow-up
  • Multi-lingual preferred but needs to be a fluent English speaker

Analytical Skills

  • Ability to negotiate commercial terms relating to new business, including NDAs and fees

Written Communication

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in both English and German
