About our client
Our client is a leading, independent, early-stage Venture Capital firm based in Düsseldorf. The team has already established itself as a prominent investor in Food, Nutrition, Lifestyle and the Health-tech products intended to drive sustainability. Backed by one of Germany's most renowned family businesses they are looking for a Manager or Principal to join their growing investment team.
What the job involves

• As deal captain you are responsible for the entire transaction process, including qualitative and quantitative investment analysis, deal structuring and negotiation through to closing
• Networking and sourcing relevant investment opportunities
• Help develop and mentor a first-class investment team
• You will actively work with the portfolio companies, where required, taking on board positions to support the management teams and drive value creation
• You will lead by example and guide a diverse, independent and empowered team

Who we are looking for

• Investment professional with significant experience in venture capital investing
• Experience in sourcing early- or later-stage deals across Europe
• You bring meaningful operational insight acquired through active board participation
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset with sharp commercial judgement and a clear passion for (sustainable) value creation
• You are ambitious yet low-ego, take pride in your work and are able to flourish in a fast-paced environment
• As a natural and trustworthy leader, you are respected by colleagues, your network and founders alike
• You are fluent in spoken and written English and German; additional language skills are a plus
