POSITION

We are currently recruiting for a Relationship Analyst to join our Relationship Management Team, based in Frankfurt. The Relationship Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting our Institutional business development and relationship management activities with consultants, prospects and clients in Germany and Austria.

Responsibilities

Commanding a thorough knowledge of our business, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, Relationship Analysts work closely with other members of the team on client relationships as well as prospect and marketing activities. Relationship Analysts conduct market analysis, initiate research, respond to enquiries on a wide variety of topics, primarily focused on the more strategic and investment elements of client and prospect relationships. As opportunity arises, Relationship Analysts host or participate in prospect and client meetings.

Specific responsibilities will include:

* Work with the Relationship and Business Development Managers in Frankfurt to understand the marketplace and target prospects; analyse and maintain the latest industry/market information, and provide extensive analysis on target and current prospects;

* Help to build and maintain strong and effective client, consultant and prospect relationships; assist the team in their efforts to maintain an ongoing dialogue with institutional prospects, and to move the pipeline forward;

* Support in the planning and preparation of meetings, focusing on content and outcomes; prepare briefing materials and meeting notes for meetings and calls; prepare materials for prospect meetings, finals presentations, and proposals for prospective clients and consultants;

* Meet, as required, with clients, prospects and consultants, and manage any follow up;

* Co-ordinate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure that each RFP receives the proper and most appropriate response;

* Coordinate key client and consultant communications;

* Incorporate product knowledge, cultural awareness and business judgment to ensure optimal use of the firm's resources;

* Partner closely with the broader Consultant and Relationship teams in London;

* Respond to ad hoc queries, and requests for reports and data for consultants, prospects and clients;

* Liaise with consultants, prospects, clients and internal parties to ensure compliance with applicable regulations;

* Ensure client and prospect data is accurately captured and reflected via internal systems.

Qualifications

The successful candidate is likely to:

* Have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained in a similar Business Development Analyst / Relationship Analyst role within the Investment Management industry;

* Demonstrate a high level of capital markets/investment/product knowledge, ideally across multiple asset classes;

* Have the ability to represent the investment views of the firm, as appropriate, in both informal and formal settings;

* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English language skills. Fluency in German is required. Additional language skills would be advantageous;

* Have strong academic credentials, ideally including progress towards a post-graduate and/or professional qualification (e.g. CFA or equivalent);

* Be comfortable with Wellington's consultative approach to marketing/business development;

* Be self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic;

* Be a natural collaborator who can work well in a small team.
