Position Overview The Team:
The Embedded Risk Team manages non-financial risks and controls for all CB products across the 18 countries that make up EMEA Branch Operations.
This role is integral in supporting the front line management in identifying, assessing, mitigating and monitoring risks by driving enhancements in business, operations and technology processes. This includes designing, implementing and managing the control environment through the assessment and verification of Control Standards.
Continuous and proactive risk evaluation and effective/efficient control management is a major key task of the embedded risk function. The team focuses on Operational Risk Management practices and project management capabilities to build programs and enhance the framework for risk related processes and procedures in EMEA Branches.
Responsibilities: - Supports facilitation of overall risk and control strategy and processes; supports proactive and forward looking risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring and reporting, thereby keeping divisional risk profile up to date
- Supports evaluation and overall design of risk and control programmes in line with the defined risk and control strategy and risk tolerance
- Conducts reviews/risk assessments as team activity
- Ensure in conjunction with the team an appropriate stakeholder awareness/oversight of follow up action items to resolve identified issues
- Supports verification process of remediation concepts for critical and systematic issues and monitors their execution according to plan and with quality; participates in management of Audit issues and Self-identified issues for the group, ensuring timely completeness and executing validation activities and closure
Requirements: - Project management/risk experience and paired with sound analytical skill to ensure strong governance across various locations and products
- Basic audit process experience
- Good understanding of CB Operations organization
- Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent
- Ability to work independently as well as in cooperation with other team members and functions (ie hands-on mentality)
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English
