Sales Director Business Development

We are looking to recruit a forward thinking individual to join our team in Frankfurt as "Sales Director Business Development".

Main Purpose:
The job focuses on the analysis of the existing business mainly with Insurances and IFAs to explore new opportunities, products and relations within the client group. It also involves 2 nd pillar opportunities due the change of law (bAV).

Overview of Tasks:

  • Visit and call insurances and market participants of 2nd pillar models.
  • Valid on existing and potential new clients to increase the weight of FTIF funds in their investment lines.
  • Stay in touch with the focus clients in order to follow the evolution of their needs and to be able to suggest the products which fit their needs.
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Provide high level service, give information on our products and create strong personal relationship to be perceived as a reliable advisor.
  • Participate at fairs/roadshows, hold client seminars with presentations about our products and philosophy.
  • Stay current on financial markets and investment industry, funds and company policies, administrative work, enhancing presentation and conversation skills.
  • Research of the market for new product opportunities.
  • Develop of strong working relationships with colleagues both locally and abroad.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of assets.
  • Active client follow-up ensuring prompt and efficient service.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant compliance requirements for both clients and the business unit.
  • Proactive working relationship with the Director Retail Sales.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree ideally within the field of Finance and/or economics or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years professional experience in the financial business and insurance industry
  • Excellent knowledge of FTI products, investment processes and expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written German and English communication skills
  • Understanding of the insurance, bAV and investment markets on a global and regional basis
  • Excellent insight of the German bAV and insurance industry (products, competitors, people, legal)
  • Client focused serving attitude, understanding of client needs, used to achieve results
  • Ability to present to sophisticated audiences
  • Work as a team player within the Group
  • Prepared to "go the extra mile"
