As a Sales Manager at Cognizant, it will be your responsibility to work on both new and existing customers to drive Cognizant´s success in Germany. You will be targeting prospects in within the Automotive and Industrial Engineering industry, leveraging your past experience and network as well as Cognizant's marketing support to develop a pursuit plan, set-up executive meetings, position Cognizant favorably to be invited in the tendering process for relevant Services.

About Yourself:

If you are motivated by crafting a network and building links then this is the right position! Based on the technical and domain knowledge the position also offers opportunities to represent Cognizant in various leading industry and technology forums. It also gives a chance to define a link in established Chambers of trade or equivalent organizations that can help to build the network and win new business for Cognizant.

• Build and maintain relationships across various levels in the client organization, particularly in the C- Level/ Executive Management Level, and build a partner map to position the team and management

• Develop insights into prospective client's organization structure, core business and Engineering / IT strategy

• Work closely with different teams in Cognizant to build a winnable value proposition in order to bring new business

• Lead and / or be part of the end-to-end in the tender process including negotiations and closure.

• Need to understand the customer's specific business needs and applying service/ process knowledge to meet those needs, additionally, to identify critical initiatives that help the client's business to achieve their goals

• Be actively involved in deal reviews, developing solution, proposal responses, creating an executive summary for the proposal, and ensure timely submission with appropriate internal approvals

Required & nice to have Skills:

Since the focus of this role is on hunting and farming business, your personality is the most important asset to us.

In addition, you should bring the following:

• Have a good understanding of the latest business and technology trends in the Automotive engineering and Industrial Engineering sector and very good understanding of the German market

• At least 10+ Years of Sales experience with German companies

• Consistent record in closing business, building, scaling, and handling large accounts in the engineering services area

• Experience of leading and closing large deals in managed services (multi-million € and multi-year contracts)

• Network with Global partners like Microsoft, AWS, PTC etc.

• German (native speaker level) and proficient English language

• Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Location: Preferably Munich, other locations can also be considered.
