Our client has grown substantially in global and cross-border payments, FX hedging and advisory/analytics services over the past few years and continues to do so through targeted acquisitions and senior hires.  To facilitate the next phase of growth in the European market, they are seeking to hire a senior corporate sales person with experience providing cross-border payments/global payment services to mid-large corporate clients in the European market.

Our client has one of the strongest brand names in a growing market with a huge range of cross-sell opportunity across commodities, foreign exchange (FX), forwards, futures, rates and financial markets.   There is huge growth potential in the service offering to corporate clients in Germany and the European market with multiple products to leverage on for the successful corporate sales person.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales lead generation & business development to identify suitable target clients in the corporate arena with a requirement for cross-border payment and currency hedging services
  • Manage personal sales revenue book, driving to reach sales targets and market share in a competitive field
  • Full sales process management, from lead generation, pitching and meetings through to onboarding
  • Monitor trends in the payments/foreign exchange market, using industry data to capitalise on market opportunity and sales approaches for corporate clients
  • Liaise with internal teams across London, the US and Asia on projects where required
  • Maximise cross/upsell opportunities across other financial products/hedging and advisory services for the firm

Experience:

  • Proven track record in a corporate sales role within a financial institution or brokerage/global market firms, covering payments or foreign exchange on behalf of corporate clients
  • Hands on experience with a currency/payments product and service offering
  • Good knowledge of payments software and foreign exchange technology
  • Derivatives (Forwards, Futures, Options) understanding in a hedging or risk management capacity
  • Knowledge of other financial markets, commodities or capital markets beneficial
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and verbal
  • Ability to travel where required (infrequent)
  • Sales drive, target driven and proven in a business development role with mid size corporate clients
