The individual will
  • Participate in all life-cycle stages of Business Process Management (BPM) projects
  • Design, implement and deliver enterprise software solutions leveraging the Infinity Process Platform
  • Work primarily on projects in the banking and insurance industry
  • Mentor, train and support product development teams and end customers in their usage of the BPMS
Main responsibilities:
  • Act as expert for Infinity Process Platform, BPM and solution architecture in general. Transfer knowledge to own team to customers and to business unit's development, QA and (pre-) sales resources.
  • Exercise judgment in decision making, determine approach, methods and procedures to use on new assignments.
  • Work independently on highly complex projects with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
  • Identify complex mapping or interface requirements of unique projects and examines data field conversion requirements.
  • Develop, document and implement standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures for staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and formulate systems scope and objectives relative to client organization business plan and industry requirements.
  • Analyze, model and optimize product internal and customer's business processes.
  • Is comfortable in working in unstructured situations where creativity is needed. Brainstorm alternatives to a given problem. Resolve complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge and skills. Troubleshoot implementation and configuration issues. Analyze, classify and fix defects.
  • Coordinate and guide the work of less senior team members.
  • Create functional and technical specifications for process implementations.
  • Setup, configure, analyse and optimize the system environment in cooperation with the responsible administrators.
  • Design, estimate, implement and test services, user interfaces and integration code. Integrate new and existing backend systems and user interfaces into the workflows.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Work closely with other team members, project lead(s), business analyst(s), etc. ensuring a well coordinate progress and the adherence to best practices and guidelines.
  • Document requirements, business processes, design, implementation, source code, configurations, best practices and operational procedures.
  • Support pre-sales activities
  • Provide regular status updates to project and line managers. Meet utilization and quality goals as well as timelines.
  • Work primarily from the customer's or FIS' office.
  • Support product management by providing feedback based on discussions with business units and project experience. Provide early feedback on new features and improvements.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and design skills.
  • Comfortable working in unstructured situations where creativity is needed. Brainstorms alternatives to a given problem.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and master relevant technology.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to document and present work results.
  • Strong English and German (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a distributed multicultural team.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in Java web application development or system integration.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Ability to adhere to project standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relation database systems, SQL, HTML, XML, Scripting, build and deployment procedures.
  • Experience with several of the following technologies: Spring, HTML5, JSF, EJB, Web Services (SOAP, REST), Messaging, JavaScript, Apache Camel.
  • Experience with at least one JEE application server or servlet container.
  • Mobility 20-80%
Desired Skills
  • Experience with popular open source software
  • BPMN 2 knowledge
  • Advanced HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery, AngularJS, etc.) skills
  • Experience as a Trainer/Instructor
  • Financial Services or domain experience
  • Familiar with Git usage
  • XSLT/XPath/XQuery/advanced XML skills
  • Design patterns knowledge
