As a Vice President in the Industrials Group in Europe based in Frankfurt, you will be responsible for executing corporate finance engagements for industrial companies, with a main focus in sub-verticals including building materials, chemicals, aerospace and defence, specialty materials, metals & mining, paper & packaging, industrial technologies/automation, capital goods and automotive. The Group's engagements principally include M&A sell and buy side assignments as well as capital raise advisory  mandates.

In addition to executing transactions, the Industrials Group is responsible for providing industry-specific knowledge and expertise to the firm. As a member of our team, you will be utilize your industry intelligence and analysis to support this effort, including evaluating financial statements, general economic and industry developments, acquisitions and divestitures, and various attributes of publicly traded and private securities.

The following qualifications are required:

  • A strong academic track record
  • Demonstrable VP level experience in investment banking M&A; experience in Industrials M&A will be favorably regarded
  • Strong execution experience on end to end M&A deals
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring Analysts and Associates
  • Have an understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
  • Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
  • Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • An exceptional strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German & English
