Vice President or Senior Vice President (German Speaking) - Investment and Infrastructure Development
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure Investment and Development team as an experienced Vice President to focus on principal infrastructure investments.
Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure Investment and Development team specialises in investing our own capital in smart, sustainable infrastructure projects, and companies. We sponsor the development of landmark projects that strengthen communities by creating new digital, transport and social infrastructure. We also offer flexible, partnership capital to infrastructure companies to help fund capital expenditure, business expansions and acquisitions. Examples include the EUR 1bn A9 Road PPP in Amsterdam, the EUR 80m private multiclient water desalination project in the Port of Antwerp, a 2m customer fibre company in Spain and retirement living projects in the UK.
As part of the team, you will work closely with the Transaction Director to structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions (including debt, equity and hybrid structures) and commission and review due diligence materials to identify potential risks and value drivers. You will engage and lead due diligence advisors (legal, technical, tax & accounting) and prepare internal investment papers for equity and debt approvals, leading debt financial advisory work for external and internal clients
The role will combine typical investment banking tasks with principal investing, infrastructure development, and client interaction on Europe's preeminent digital/data, social and infrastructure transactions (both greenfield and brownfield). You will bring a strong origination and execution background in infrastructure investments (particularly Digital, Social and/or Transportation), from either an industry or investment banking/private equity background, and have strong commercial acumen, numeracy capability and negotiation skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 6-7 years industry or corporate finance experience in a relevant organisation with detailed knowledge of Infrastructure markets, principles of financial analysis and valuation and financial modelling. In addition, you will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. It is essential that you are fluent in both spoken and written English and native German, with a strong, general communication style and relationship building skills.
This is a key role within the team, where exceptional communication, organisational skills, and the ability to perform in a demanding, fast paced environment will see you thrive. If you are entrepreneurial, professional, committed, and proactive in your approach, we want to hear from you. Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
