Our client is a pan-European lower mid-market which has built a very strong record small and mid-cap investments in the Nordics, DACH region, France, Benelux and the UK. They seek controlling investments in four core sectors: Business Services, Consumer/Food, Engineered Products and Healthcare and often deploy buy-and-build strategies to support their portfolio companies.
The firm is advanced in fundraising and is looking to hire a Director who will help invest the new fund, and who will be on a clear Partner track. The position will be based in Hamburg.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Source and lead the execution of direct investment opportunities in the DACH region
- Quantitative and qualitative investment analysis, diligence, structuring and negotiations through to closing
- Monitor and drive value creation in portfolio companies leading them to a successful exit
- Manage and mentor junior investment professionals
YOUR PROFILE: - Significant transaction experience in mid or small cap PE
- Previous exposure to the whole deal life cycle - from origination and analysis to structuring and negotiation through to closing of deals
- Outstanding analytical skills and a passion to drive projects forward independently as well as a strong sense of entrepreneurship
- Fluent German & English
