Group Financial Controller (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the comprehensive accounting and reporting policy-setting, execution and delivery and ongoing development at Group level in close coordination with the Group’s business units
  • Manage the new IFRS competence center across the Group with the immediate setup of consolidated IFRS Group accounts under a German & US GAAP environment
  • CFO-aligned interaction with key stakeholders including Sr. Management, shareholders, Board, LBO-lenders and coordination of auditors and advisors
  • Play a key role in the implementation and development of integrated financial analysis, business intelligence tools, financial planning and reporting, supported by appropriate IT-systems
  • Monitoring of performance and key financial parameters including business unit performance, liquidity, working capital and financial covenant requirements
  • Coordination of designated projects such as tax structuring (e.g. transfer pricing), Capex and Opex investment decision planning and monitoring as well as M&A related workflow

Your profile

  • Successful economics or business administration studies, preferably with specialization in financial management
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, possibly within an accountancy / financial advisory firm or an international business group
  • Convincing IFRS accreditations with practical expertise, familiarity with German and US GAAP
  • Financial and business acumen combined with project management skills, possibly in the context of M&A or Corporate Finance
  • Experience gained in the life sciences industry or comparable high-value added technical consultancy services is desirable
  • Strong IT-system application and development skills including ERP, financial reporting software and the MS-Office software suite, notably Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on team player with strong interpersonal skills and proactive and solutions-oriented cross-cultural approach
  • Professional, transparent and strong analytical mindset with pragmatic drive to solve and simplify complexity
  • Attention to detail and quality without losing target sight, objective-oriented persistence and assertiveness, also under pressure
  • Fair play leadership talent and willingness to occasional international travel, fluency in both German and English
