EnBW Trading, a division of EnBW, is currently undergoing dynamic growth and organizational changes, as we are on our way to become one of the top 10 trading houses in Europe. To get there, the IT and process landscape will be redesigned with the latest technologies. We are currently looking for a Head of Data and Trading Systems to help us to improve usage of data, delivery of data products and operation of trading systems.

Your tasks

As Head of Data and Trading systems, you will lead an IT department, currently consisting of a dedicated 18-person team. Together you are responsible for the high-quality delivery and operation of our trading applications and market data platforms. You will also evolve and lead our data strategy. Furthermore, as part of the management team, you will endeavour to help us become a leading IT enabler in the digital age. 

Your core tasks and responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the value creation of EnBW trading’s data applications, trading systems and business analytics tools
• You shape the cooperation of your product teams with the organization and convince stakeholders across all areas and hierarchies of your ideas and projects
• You support your team and your projects as a mentor
• You plan and ensure compliance with the budget specifications from the planning processes
• You coordinate the resource prioritization towards the highest priority deliverables
• You transport the new values throughout the organization, communicate with stakeholders as well as with multipliers in order to anchor the value of data in EnBW's energy trading

Your skills and experience

• You possess long-term IT management experience with data in commodity trading or a comparable industry. Moreover, you are experienced in data driven topics and have a clear vision on how data is supporting trading business
• You have a proven track record in leading DevOps teams and relevant experience in delivery of complex IT solutions
• You strive to be a hands-on manager who drives complex topics with an end-to-end view towards on time delivery and lasting solutions
• You are "change and transformation specialist " and have the right mix of empathy and perseverance in discussions not only with your team, business specialists and IT colleagues, but also stakeholders on upper management level
• You have passion and the innate ability to inspire passion in others
• You speak and write English fluently; German language skills are of advantage
