Our client is looking to hire an additional Analyst/ Associate to strengthen their Munich based investment team. This is a great career opportunity for an ambitious, upcoming VC investor looking to make real impact in early stage businesses. The successful person will bring broad commercial insight and a passion for early stage investments in the consumer, retail and hospitality sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build a network among entrepreneurs in Germany and Western Europe, screening the market for ideas and people and identifying opportunities where the investor can make a difference through their financial capital, deep industry networks and operational know-how
  • Analyse individual deals, drive due diligence, structure and negotiate terms and manage internal approval processes
  • Support portfolio companies in strategic and operating matters, including diverse growth strategy initiatives

YOUR PROFILE:
  • You should be able to demonstrate strong investment judgement, people skills, an analytical mind-set, a strong understanding of business plans, financial modelling skills and a passion for investing and innovation
  • Broad knowledge of corporate finance, diverse business models, valuation methodology, industry and company analysis - combining natural curiosity with a talent for rigorous research
  • Our client is looking for a humble team player, who is also proactive and hands-on. The right candidate is charismatic and outgoing, with a strong ability to builld and nurture their own networks.
  • You bring a background in strategy consulting with a focus towards retail and consumer focussed industries with a passion for early stage innovations
  • Fluent German and English are a minimum; other language skills are helpful, particularly French
  • You should have a strong academic pedigree from a leading university or business school
