Our client is a debut credit fund founded and led by experienced senior investors and supported by an established buyout firm with a strong track-record and extensive network in the German-speaking region. The fund focuses on investments in small and mid-cap companies across Western Europe, with a particular focus on the DACH region. The team has secured initial funding and is actively working on a live deal pipeline. They are now looking to bring on board an additional team member, most likely at Analyst or Associate level, to work on deal analysis and execution. Learning from some of the most experienced investors in the field, this position will provide you with a steep learning curve and an excellent career path in the debt space. You will be based in Munich.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Involvement in all aspects of the deal life cycle, from sourcing, through analysis and diligence, to negotiations and closing
  • On a day-to-day basis you will focus on the financial analysis and the management of due diligence work streams of investment opportunities in the DACH region, and potentially other European dealflow
  • You will work closely with senior team members on the origination of new deals, building a strong deal pipeline and growing the firm's presence in the market
  • As part of an experienced and dynamic team, a smart and driven junior investor will be able to gain wide exposure and take on responsibility from the start. This will provide you with the skill set to launch a long-term career in the private debt industry

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Initial professional training with an investment bank (leverage finance or M&A), a strategy consultancy, a Big 4 firm in due diligence / transaction services, or alternatively existing experience with a private debt or even a private equity firm.
  • As a motivated self-starter with a hands-on working attitude, you will naturally thrive in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent academic track record from a top-tier university
  • Native-level German and excellent English skills are required
