About our client
Our client is an early growth B2B tech investment firm focusing on market transforming technology companies across the DACH and US markets.
They invest in Series A and B rounds with room for follow-on investments in later stage growth rounds together with top tier co-investors. The team follows a selective investment approach paired with a dedicated value add strategy for their portfolio companies which has resulted in a number of very successful exits. To further accelerate their success and growth they are now looking for an additional Associate to join their Munich based team.

The role incorporates all aspects of the deal cycle, from origination to execution and active portfolio engagement. The firm seeks to hire with a long-term perspective and will provide you with excellent career development opportunities.
What the job involves

• Play a key role in deal origination and execution of B2B technology investments in the field of Enterprise Tech
• Learn to play a leading role in transaction work across the investment cycle, including initial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiations and closing
• Actively support and work with companies in the existing investment portfolio, provide value add to the companies and eventually develop them to the exit
• Provide market knowledge and insights on sectors and input ideas for potential transactions
• Act as a proactive, entrepreneurial member of the investment team and support the senior management

Who we are looking for

• Strong educational background from a top university
• Initial work experience in Venture Capital or a Growth Equity Fund, a top investment bank, top strategy consulting firm, Big 4 accounting firm or similar
• An entrepreneurial, analytical, commercial mindset and ability to think creatively to identify and act on transaction opportunities
• Passionate about investing in hypergrowth companies
• Strategic thinker, able to persuade through evidence-based conviction
• Natural team player with impressive can-do attitude
• Extensive financial modelling skills and experience in Excel
• Fluent English and native standard German language skills are a must
