Our client is a lower-mid market private equity fund focusing on medium-sized companies in Germany and Scandinavia. Backed by a diverse range of mid-large German family-owned companies as investors, they are able to leverage on this network to pursue meaningful value-creation strategies in their portfolio companies, by providing capital, expertise and access to a wide network.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work with senior team members on all aspects of the deal life cycle from origination through analysis, and execution to closing
- On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for financial analysis and management of due diligence workstreams. You will also be involved in portfolio management and monitoring
- Contribute to the ongoing management of portfolio companies, driving growth and taking a role during exit processes
YOUR PROFILE: - Strong academic track record from a top tier university
- Initial transaction experience gained at investment banks, M&A boutique and/or Consulting firms. The firm might also consider hiring candidates with a previous experience in another private equity firm
- Excellent financial skills combined with strong commercial judgment and a hands-on working attitude
- Humble, pro-active team player with a genuine passion for Mittelstand companies
- Communication skills are key as you will regularly liaise with partners, senior management teams and external advisors
- Native-level German skills and excellent English are required
