We are looking for a Junior Account Executive within our institutional client group who will be excited and driven to continue to develop our business within region. This role will ideally be based in Munich, but we are open to Frankfurt based candidates.

Your Job
  • Help to further develop SSGA's client relationships with institutional and wholesale investors in Germany and Austria to drive asset growth and increase market share
  • Work collaboratively with the German Sales Team and the overall German Client Facing Team to promote mutual funds and segregated accounts across all channels
  • Work closely with the EMEA and local PR and Marketing team to support in executing on the overall distribution strategy
  • Support the implementation of sales strategies and marketing initiatives to generate new business and organic revenue growth
  • Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations and needs

Your main responsibilities
  • Engage existing clients and prospects on a regular basis to promote the SSGA product range, investment strategies and research capabilities
  • Proactively and independently build up and manage your own client portfolio and support the rest of the Account Executive and Client Relationship Management teams in managing theirs, e.g. by preparing customized pitch books and sales material
  • Help to position SSGA as a trusted partner around investment decisions
  • Involve clients in the major SSGA initiatives (seminars, roadshows, events, surveys)
  • Become the lead for data accurateness in Salesforce and provide regular updates to the team
  • Become a close link between the existing Client Relationship Management and Account Executive teams

Your profile
  • Team-player with strong business instincts, sound judgment and creative mindset, ideally combined with experience of managing client relationships in the German asset management market
  • Advanced communication and client relationship development skills, ideally combined with skills in financial markets
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • Willingness to travel across Germany and Austria on a regular basis
  • University degree in a financial or analytical discipline is a plus
  • Fluent proficiency in German and English written and spoken is essential
