GR-RCSE comprises the risk function for the Holding and Treasury segment of Allianz SE Solo. Our team’s role is to support the AZ SE CRO, and through her the AZ SE Board of Management, in business decisions and in their interactions with the Regulator and the Supervisory Board. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of the Allianz SE Solvency II internal model and how it fits into the Allianz business context.

Job Purpose/Role

Your core responsibility in our team will be to manage our internal model governance and validation process, including taking the lead on model analysis and development, and reporting on model related topics to senior management and the regulator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Modelling and model governance for Allianz SE specific Risk topics.
  • Presentation of model validation results to senior management and regulator as needed
  • Build on a deep Solvency II expertise to support the team in modelling and analysis questions related to the Allianz SE internal model.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Master's degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Finance, or equivalent
  • Programming experience in SQL, R, Python or similar is a plus
  • Strong command of written and spoken English is necessary. German would be a strong advantage

Experience & Key skills

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience in risk modelling an/or model validation under Solvency II
  • A deep understanding of market and credit risk, including potential implications for the business context.
  • Additional experience in pensions and/or reinsurance-related modelling would be a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and
  • concisely to senior management, as well as to provide practical and appropriately balanced recommendations where needed
  • Experience in communicating with local regulators, internal / external audit preferred.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a high level of integrity, independence, and conscientiousness
