The Team

Our dedicated DWS ESG Integration team is part of the CIO for Responsible Investments with activities integrated into the investment process, designed to go beyond the fiduciary duties. The CIO Office for Responsible Investments is organized across responsibilities: the Responsible Investment Center, our ESG Engine and Solutions team, and our dedicated Corporate Governance Center. The main responsibilities of the ESG Integration Team are:

• Develop, drive and oversee integration of ESG topics in every step of the investment process
• Teach, assess and support global active analysts/ PMs in the integration of ESG topics in their analysis and/or portfolio construction
• Organize and undertake mandatory/ optional ESG trainings for the investment platform globally
• Responsible for DWS ESG Integration Policy and DWS Engagement Policy
• Engagement: Gives support to engagement leads, drive Focus & Strategic engagements and inform Engagement Council on DWS engagement progress

As a Research Analyst ESG Integration (m/f/d) you will be

• Analysis of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and management of ESG risks and opportunities of issuers (companies and sovereigns)
• Creating original content after a deep and thorough research that can be used for driving engagement activities, for supporting engagement leads, and for creating sustainable outcomes of our Focus & Strategic engagements and inform Engagement Council on DWS engagement progress
• Support the investment division in increasing the level and quality of their ESG integration activities, to drive them to adopt best practice ESG standards (e.g. Research, investment decision, etc.)
• Working with multiple global teams in a coordinated approach to brainstorm on difficulties facing the Investment division and preparing solutions (e.g. tailor-made ESG trainings, etc.) for increasing ESG integration according to soft (PRI, UK Stewardship Code, etc.) and hard regulation (SFDR, MIfid II, etc.)
• Working with ESG Integration Team and CIO for Responsible Investment Office to undertake any ESG integration related topic, reporting, etc..(e.g. ESG CIO View, ESG progression reporting tool, trainings, ESG research quality checks, etc.)

We are looking for

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Socio-Economics, Sustainable Development or equivalent
• At least five years of work experience in a role as an ESG analyst with a deep understanding of ESG concepts
• Very good knowledge of Asset Management business
• Proficiency with using various ESG data sources
• Passionate about responsible investing/stewardship and having a positive impact
• Excellent communication skills with extremely high proficiency level in writing publishable content for the global audience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate clearly & present information in a compelling manner
• High level of comfort in dealing with senior management
• Highly motivated, self-sufficient and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Als Research Analyst ESG Integration (m/w/d) werden Sie:

• Analyse der Umwelt-, Sozial- und Governance-Performance (ESG) und Management von ESG-Risiken und -Chancen von Emittenten (Unternehmen und Staaten)
• Erstellung origineller Inhalte nach eingehender und gründlicher Recherche, die zur Förderung von Engagement-Aktivitäten, zur Unterstützung von Engagement-Leads und zur Schaffung nachhaltiger Ergebnisse unserer Focus & Strategic Engagements genutzt werden können und den Engagement Council über die Fortschritte des DWS-Engagements informieren
• Unterstützung der Investmentabteilung bei der Steigerung des Niveaus und der Qualität ihrer ESG-Integrationsaktivitäten, um sie zur Übernahme von Best-Practice-ESG-Standards zu bewegen (z. B. Research, Anlageentscheidungen usw.)
• Zusammenarbeit mit mehreren globalen Teams im Rahmen eines koordinierten Ansatzes zur Erarbeitung von Lösungen (z. B. maßgeschneiderte ESG-Schulungen usw.) für die Verbesserung der ESG-Integration gemäß weicher (PRI, UK Stewardship Code usw.) und harter Vorschriften (SFDR, MIfid II usw.)
• Zusammenarbeit mit dem ESG-Integrationsteam und dem CIO des Büros für verantwortungsbewusstes Investment bei der Bearbeitung von Themen im Zusammenhang mit der ESG-Integration, der Berichterstattung usw. (z. B. ESG CIO View, ESG Progression Reporting Tool, Schulungen, ESG-Research-Qualitätsprüfungen usw.)

Wir suchen:

• Master-Abschluss oder gleichwertige Erfahrung in Sozioökonomie, nachhaltiger Entwicklung oder gleichwertig
• Mindestens fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung in einer Rolle als ESG-Analyst mit einem tiefen Verständnis von ESG-Konzepten
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse des Asset Management-Geschäfts
• Beherrschung der Nutzung verschiedener ESG-Datenquellen
• Leidenschaft für verantwortungsbewusstes Investieren/Stewardship und positive Auswirkungen
• Hervorragende Kommunikationsfähigkeiten mit einem extrem hohen Niveau beim Verfassen veröffentlichungsfähiger Inhalte für ein weltweites Publikum
• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und die Fähigkeit, klar zu formulieren und Informationen überzeugend zu präsentieren
• hohes Maß an Sicherheit im Umgang mit der Geschäftsleitung
• Hohe Motivation, Selbstständigkeit und die Fähigkeit, schnell zu lernen
