About our client
Our client is an entrepreneurial turnaround investor focusing on the acquisition of small-cap companies across the DACH region. Backed by German entrepreneurial families our client is a trusted partner, with a strong capital base to support their portfolio companies to grow and develop sustainably, for the long-term.
They are now looking to hire an experienced Investment Manager or Director to complement the team, taking a leadership role throughout the acquisition processes and to be distinctively involved in growing the company's success.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset and a distinct sense of responsibility to join a lean and dynamic team structure. The role offers a long-term growth trajectory and will be based in Munich, Germany.
What the job involves

• Actively lead and execute due diligence workstreams, evaluating investment opportunities in medium-sized companies or corporate carve-outs in the DACH region
• Play an active role in identifying and sourcing potential deals as well as lead on market-/competitive analysis across all sectors and business models
• Modelling of acquisitions, structuring of financing options and execution of transactions, including negotiations and coordination with industry experts, legal professionals, banks, tax consultants and stakeholders
• Definition of corporate strategies as well as creation of action plans for operative increase in efficiency post-closing
• Direct involvement in all aspects of M&A processes relating to the acquisition and exit of portfolio companies
• Monitoring and operative support of portfolio companies

Who we are looking for

• An investment track record acquired within the carve out and special situations environment
• Strong commercial judgement and a willingness to take on responsibility
• Confident, energetic personality, with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
• A high level of commitment and proactivity, as well as initial experience in team leading and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communicative skills and fluency in German and English
