Application Developer - C++/C#/Oracle (Investment Bank)

Our client is a top investment bank with significant business across the region. As their business grows, they are looking for a Application Developer to join their expanding IT team.

This role will require the candidate to have a strong hands on knowledge of C++, C# and Oracle. Experience in financial industry is key for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Hands on development and support for proprietary Equity and Fixed Income trade settlement systems on C++, C# and Oracle
  • Stick to deadlines to meet business and IT requirements
  • Perform incident troubleshooting and resolution as and when required
  • Perform quality assurance of work delivered by vendor and internal team members
  • Liaise with Support Manager to set priority on support tickets and system development requests
  • Liaise with vendors to handle escalated system issues and system enhancement work
  • Act as system SME to support and advise projects
  • Liaise with business analysts to understand and define system change requirements
  • Conduct testing, support UAT and handle production change rollout
  • Comply with applicable IT Policies and Procedures in performing day to day work
  • Be client focused and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements
  • University graduate with minimum 5-7 years of working experience as system developer or system support in financial institutions
  • Prior experience to support key business system is preferred
  • Excellent skills in C++, C#, .Net
  • Excellent skills in Oracle database and in Unix (preferably SUN Solaris)
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel-VBA
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and experience
  • Web application knowledge (Apache, SOAP) will be an advantage
  • Script language knowledge (perl, python) will be an advantage
  • Self-starter and able to explore and learn new system proactively
  • Understanding of IT control governance including change management, incident management & quality assurance approach
  • Good command of English
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player
  • Must be attentive to detail, proactive and flexible
