Assistant General Manager, Product Owner (General Banking Products)

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the squad team to deliver end-to-end digital/multi-channel initiatives for general banking products that would lead to impactful revenue benefit and delightful customer experience
• Make continuous improvement on launched initiatives by reviewing business results, digital footprint and customer/frontline voices etc
• Setting a clear vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives, and communicates “the story” well to key stakeholders and the rest of the squad
• Deliver minimum viable product (MVP) in a fast-paced environment and map out dependencies to deliver initiatives with highest business value first
• Accountable for service/product decisions and resolving any issues arise after product releases
• Developing squad competency by working with Agile Coach and Chapter Lead, and providing guidance to squad team members including BA, UIUX designer and engineers
• Manage various internal and external parties such as IT, vendor and control parties ensure seamless implementation of product or service launch

• Provide management oversight and develop/maintain a strong compliance culture regarding regulatory and compliance matters as well as anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing control activities.

Requirements:

• Experienced in general banking product/projects including retail deposit and payment would be required, with knowledge on SME payment/deposit or unsecured lending would be a plus
• A strong business mindset, ability to lead the squad team and work with IT/Operations/frontline etc
• Good understanding of digital banking market, development methodology and customer behavior

• Degree holder in Business, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in banks or financial institutions

• A personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment, with experience in leading changes and building roadmaps in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships, work closely and influence at all levels
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
