Job Description  

  • Infrastructure Services Support for daily operations of enterprise-wide office applications, including Microsoft Platform, IBM Notes Email System, File and Print servers, MDM and Backup system within Asia
  • End user support, including Front office traders and other business users, on their desktop computing requirements and issues
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems, performance issues, and computer resources allocation
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Configure & manage security settings or access permissions to meet the firm’s Information Security standard
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards to ensure they are in line with the firm’s standard
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required  
  • Management of servers and systems vendors taking care by the team
  • Implement and execute system failover and recovery during BCP/DR scenarios

Key Experience & Skills  

  • Degree holder or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines is preferred
  • 5 years or above in Banking or Finance IT experience
  • Hands-on experience in managing Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and IBM Notes Email system & Exchange, VMWare environment. Experience in Cloud services, such as O365 is an advantage  
  • Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
  • Good working knowledge and IT experience supporting Microsoft Windows configuration, Desktop Administration, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux OS environment
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting, provide clear instructions and multitasking skills
  • Experience in developing PowerShell, VB scripting & Excel Macros will be advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command in written and spoken English & Cantonese
