We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Project Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Reporting to the Senior Manager, Change Management and Delivery, this role will require the successful applicant to be capable of managing a number of concurrent projects across multiple platforms to ensure our strategic model is enabled for the region.
  • The role holder will also need to manage the allocated budget, implement in priority order, taking into account Client Demand, Product Roadmap, Service Delivery efficiencies as well as resource availability.
  • Maintain an awareness of topical market issues, and in particular changes in best practice and legislation in financial services.
  • Accountable for a portfolio of Change Management for Middle Office Small and Medium Size Projects for a number of products within Fund Services, including Trade Processing, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Derivatives Processing and Pricing, Collateral Management, Data Provision, Performance Analytics and Reporting and Fund Dealing.
  • Manage the Project Team to capture all requirements with the Technology teams on development items, performing testing and managing the Go Live of the change request.
  • From time to time, work with the Product teams on the global operating model as part of a change rollout.
  • Provide expert support, where appropriate to the business planning process including the contribution and analysis of new changes, process ideas and client onboarding.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Degree in business, finance or related discipline.
  • Recognised project management qualification such as Prince 2 Practitioner.
  • Strong project experience applying proven methodologies, standards and tools in the preparation of analysis, Business Requirements, User Acceptance Testing, and deployments.
  • Understanding of complex Middle Office Trade Processing, Derivatives Management, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Data Provision or Cash Management.
  • Knowledge and exposure of market initiatives across Middle Office business components and the funds industry.
  • Proven Change Management experience.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Strong process reengineering and problem solving skills, and be self-directed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including report writing skills.
  • Experience working in a large, Global Project Team would be advantageous in this role.

  • Able to producing clear, unambiguous status reports, writing detailed reports, minutes and actions, making presentations to internal audiences, and interacting positively with IT and business management, users, vendors and HSS Group PMO
  • Must be familiar with fundamental networking and distributed computing environment concepts and configuration, such as have a reasonable grasp of the underlying technology supporting the business.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.
  • Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
  • Proficiency in the creation of critical path project plans, workflow diagrams, production of functional specifications, and the development and execution of detailed test plans is essential.
  • Advanced skills in use of JIRA, Confluence, Clarity, Microsoft Project, Visio and Microsoft Office software is expected.
